"I became acquainted with Kevin Kociuba when he was a construction supervisor for a new home builder in Austin in the 1980's. When he went into custom construction my husband and I hired him as a general contractor for our first custom home, a two story brick home of over 6,000 sq. ft. with cast limestone exterior elements. One of the unique challenges of this house was the installation of a cast limestone balustrade at the top of a two story parapet wall. Kevin's installation was as secure and water tight as we could wish for. Also, there was extensive trim throughout the home, much of it in oak and plaster, two trim materials very unusual in this area. Again, the installation was handled carefully with a beautiful final result.

We did not hesitate to call on Kevin when it came time to build our second home, a two story stone home of approximately 8,000 sq. ft. This home had wrought iron stairway railings, extensive travertine flooring, five bedrooms, seven baths and a 800 sq. ft. game room with vaulted ceilings. The construction of the home took place during a time of such fast paced building that many home sites had to wait for concrete, masons, framers, etc. but we experienced no such delays due to Kevin's professional expertise. We can highly recommend Kevin Kociuba as a professional builder who delivers in a timely manner, within budget, and brings experience, knowledge, flexibility and creativity to the clients project."

Without your advise and persistence, I believe we would still be wallowing in the mess made by the devastating waterline break and the resulting tear-out of the damaged areas. "Kevin Kociuba assisted with a redesign and expansion of a 1930's ranch style home. The collaborative effort doubled the original livig space by adding a full second floor, while effectively maintaining the architectural integrity of the original home. The work required 3-4 sets of plans.

The final product successfully converted the 3BR/2BA/1LR/1DR into a 5BR/3BA/2LR/2DR classic 2-story home. Kevin created a completely new floor plan for the lower level to accommodate the placement of the stairs and a custom kitchen. The second floor features a master bedroom suite with vaulted ceilings and private bath, three children's bedrooms, an upper level hall bath, playroom and laundry room.

"I am proud homeowner of a home built and designed by Kevin Kociuba of K.K. Designer Homes Inc. My home is a gorgeous 6,500 square foot two-story design with a brick and cast limestone exterior. It consist of five bedrooms, six baths, three living areas, three fireplaces and extensive outdoor porches, patios and drives. The pinkish antique brick exterior is accented by the heavy use of white cast limestone around the windows, doors and the front porch. The exterior front entryway is a picturesque set of brick steps again accented by white cast limestone along with a well placed and designed brick planter boxes which accommodates the gently sloping lot. Once inside the large and elegant foyer with twenty two foot ceilings, marble floors, and extensive crown moldings, most visitors are impressed with the largeness and formality of the home. There are several designer and architectural appointments that Kevin Kociuba incorporated into the design. My favorite room is the study which he worked closely with myself and the trim carpenters to achieve a very distinctive room. This room is highlighted by a drop beam ceiling and block paneling which Kevin designed. There is also a marble fireplace with a custom mantel along with a set of antique doors that complete the uniques of the room. The rest of the home is finished out with all of the best materials. There is extensive use of granite and marble throughout the home. All of the fixtures are of the highest quality.

This home is a reflection of of many of the homes that I have seen built by Kevin. I believe that Kevin has extraordinary abilities to design create and build."

"We chose Kevin to design and build our house because of his credentials and for his personal attention to detail that he demands from himself and from his employees on the job site. Kevin worked with me on three differant designs to make sure I was happy with it. His finish design was a 3765 square foot stucco/stone home with large covered porches and archways stone columns in the front, side and rear. There is a intricate detail at the windows and chimney chase. The detail he put into the finish of the home was outstanding. This was a very sore point in our previous home and Kevin made sure that all workmanship was perfect. He made sure we had adequate electrical outlets where we forgot them. He utilized the attic space very efficiently in order to minimize a disruption to the flow of the home. He installed granite kitchen countertops. Red oak was used on all cabinetry. The foyer has ceiling heights over 21 feet high and showcases a curved stairway that that uses iron balusters going up the stairs and along the rail across the top floor hallway. The game room has a stained concrete floor that accents the wood cabinets in that room. Kevin's detail oriented approach and professionalism throughout the building process made him an excellent choice to design and build my custom home."

Kevin did a wonderful job designing and building our first home. Never having built a home before, we didn't have a complete picture of what we wanted. However we liked another home he had designed and built and that became the starting point for our design. Kevin drew multiple plans for us, each time adding features that only became apparent to us when viewing the previous plan. In the end, his plan incorporated all of the features we wanted and took advantage of the attractive aspects of our lot. Kevin's design creatively blended old-world style architecture in natural limestone with more modern angles and roof lines to yields a unique, updated Texas hill country look. In keeping with the hill country style, the home has a large, covered front porch with intricately detailed railing, backed by large eyebrow windows. A side entry garage with a gabled roof line on the second story adds a more updated look to the front. Soffet and ridge line roof vents provide inconspicuous energy efficiency. The back of the home has a large veranda running the length of the second floor which is accessible to all of the bedrooms and captures a wonderful view of Lake Austin with the surrounding hillsides. As originally drawn our home encompassed 2361 square feet of finished space. Kevin"s design included a bonus room over the garage however, which provides an extra living space that added 300 square feet to the total when finished out. Kevin went the extra mile to ensure our total satisfaction, making numerous last minute changes to add little extras here and there. Kevin's commitment to his customers satisfaction, his creative designs, and quality construction are what made KK Designer Homes the right choice for us."

"We were very fortunate in finding Kevin to design and build our new home. He was most creative in his design of the 4000 square foot one-story home. We have over 1100 square feet of covered patio with cantera stone columns and stucco archways. He also installed interior cantera stone columns with archways throughout the living area. The archway theme is carried throughout the house above the interior doors and windows. He created volume ceilings in the great room with a 3-step ceiling and followed up with vaulted ceilings and drop beams in the family room. He then created an outdoor living space with a custom outdoor cooking area.
